Okay, this thread is obviously about Halloween. This year, like last year, I'm turning my yard into a grave yard with some ghosts, bats, and the Grim Reaper. Anybody going out to any Halloween parties this year? Me, I'd go as a soldier since I have the camo pants, jacket and hat.

I'll be dressing up as Songstress Yuna/Lenne from FFX-2, going to an "anime cult" Halloween party held by a friend, and a OhayoCon sponsored Halloween party.

Tell me how that turns out 'cause it sounds really cool. (Bureaucratic Models for Yuna and Lenne member!) I don't really know what I'm going to do. I'm playing around with the idea of starting a campfire in my front yard and telling ghost stories all Halloween night, as well as throwing candy at passerbyers who don't want to rest a 'spell.' It would be fun, I'd down a couple of trees and we could sit on them, and maybe I'd have a couple of ghosts in the trees a hang man, a raving liberal... , I mean an undead evangelacist... Of course a raving conservative is more scary ;D, but...

I live about an hour away from Enchanted Village/Wild Waves so I'm planning on spending my one year anniversary with my boyfriend there on Halloween night where they have the seasonal "fright fest" where all the rides are "haunted" and they've got costumed creatures running around. (I met my bf on Halloween at someone's dorm room, almost entirely by accident.)

Dude, BM1-3... Entirely AWESOME idea.
I have no plans, which is super lame because for me, by the time Halloween rolls around, I haven't had an enjoyable holiday since Independance Day (firecrackers, wheeeeee!). I haven't trick-or-treated for 4 or 5 years now, and even though a group of my friends is going out together I just...can't bring myself to do it. I'm 17 years old... I don't know how it is in other families and parts of the country, but around here, it would be PAINFULLY embarassing to go trick-or-treating at my age.
For a while I was content handing out candy to the kids in my neighborhood who would come around...all FIVE of them. As you can imagine, this is no longer something I look forward to. It's just downright pitiful, in fact.
Then there are always the Halloween things the theme parks do around here, most notably Universal Stuidos' Halloween Horror Nights, but I'm not really into being scared out of my wits, and I don't have the cash anyway.
So I guess I'll just sit around the house, hoping AMC is running some kind of old horror movie marathon, and tell those rotten kids in my neighborhood to go somewhere where they'll actually get some decent candy, the losers.
EDIT: Actually, make that Turner Classic Movies. AMC plays stuff from the 70s-80s, which tend to be much creepier than what you can find in the 50s-60s. Like I said, I'm not so into having the pants scared off me. I'll stick with the good old black and white, thanks.

I'm going trick-or-treating. Mostly just for the fun of it. But before and after Halloween, I'm gonna run around cosplaying as InuYasha, and being genrally obnoxious and loud.
Although if I lived in the area, I'd totally sit by BM1-3's campfire.
I know what you mean, Feldi. There's this family Trick-or-Treat my family goes to and the people there are always like: "What? Why are YOU asking me for candy?" and it's been that way since I was like, 14. Of course, they don't say it, but they sure do imply it.

Arrrggghhh! You guys are making me feel bad! I trick or treated last year and even though it was fun when a fourteen year old starts complaining about how dumb he felt trick or treating I feel like total Jack*ss! Actually, not really, because I dressed up like an assassin, and everybody told me how cool I looked. Plus I know all most everybody in my neighborhood, so they would have given me candy even if I didn't dress up. This year, if the campfire thing REALLY falls through because you guys really hyped me UP! then I'm going to buy candy and walk around handing it out to the people I take candy from. Abigail, aren't you even going trick or treating? Feldinaut... I see where you're coming from, I like plot better than blood. BlueRobotGirl, when you're wondering around as inInuYasha, smack some kid upside the head for me .

O.o
You should have said something about that. Wait-a-minute! Weren't you complaining about having no friends on some other thread?
BTW, who here counts down the days to Halloween instead of X-mas?

It all depends on the month. In October, I count down to Halloween. In December, I count to X-mas. Yep. Don't worry, I'll smack my cousin and her friend, who are both wearing kimonos (or whatever you call them =O). I'll be all like: "Kagome, you SUCK!" 'cause I'm a kagome-hater...

I don't exactly count down to X-mas, but a week before halloween I counted down the days, then hours ect.

Ahhh, but do you ever count down the days by carving notches in your wall? I thought about trying that, but for one the boss would get really mad, and for two there's nothing impressive about poking holes in sheetrock... And of course I'm not a caveman. "What! Not Cool!" Wait I didn't see you there, you misunderstood. Aw, man! (If you haven't seen the commercial you probably don't get the joke.)

huh, you don't poke holes in the wall to count down halloween. And I thought I knew you(turns head in disgust.) I didn't go trick or treating last year, but all my friends did, but this year since my friends are going again, I think I will go out as a Gamecreator, all I have to do is put tape on my glasses. Or I could pretend to be smart for halloween, that would be funny.

Well, I know I'm going trick or treating. I'll probably dress up as a witch again since that's the easiest thing to be. I've seen kids older than 15 trick or treating, so there's no reason for me to feel embarassed about going.
