What is?
...
Don't answer that.
BTW, when I said that was an unwise post, I meant that it was unwise in the sense you've over extended yourself without good cause. I don't like labeling people liberal, but when certain lines are crossed I can't help myself. I would go on, but I've talked enough her myself. I'd just like to ask who else would try to dodge the draft? _VO

Over-extended myself without a good cause? I'd like to write an essay but back there, not knowing the status of touchy debate threads like this one since this place hasn't seen too many - if at all, I felt compelled to skim the surface.
Is it the Bush thing I mentioned? I have a laundry list of reasons why I hate the man and his administration, so it's not because everyone else around me does (Ha, yeah right; signs all over the place screaming in support of him here). Or it is because I'm trying to dodge the draft myself?
Maybe it's the lack of sleep. It kills my reading comprehension
(Label me liberal all you want. I... don't see anything insulting about it? Unless you happen to strongly dislike'em for some reason?)

I'll say this one more time, just incase I haven't said it before, this is MMLS, I could rant about my feelings but this is not the place. of course I probably would have written an epistle, my connection would time out and who would want to read it , especially here? If you hate Bush, 'hooray for you,' but I suspect this wouldn't be such a hot topic if I, myself, hadn't thrown in a rebuttal. Oh, yes, and if I 'label' you a 'liberal' then that also 'labels' you a lot of things. Liberman is a liberal, and I respect him. Gore is a 'liberal' and I laugh at him. Then there is Ted Kennedy, who is a "liberal" whom I would destroy myself if this were that kind of a republic. If you get to that point then things change, but you'd really have to go crazy for that to happen.

I really, really should be leaving this topic alone but I found something of interest: www.snopes.com/politics/military/draft.aspWell, whaddya' know? It's on Snoopes. (Still, given these times with Iraq and Afganistan, this is hard NOT to think about.)

I have a laundry list of reasons why I hate the man and his administration FG, you're my hero. <-- shining eyes of hero-type admiration. ...I feel a little better after seeing that the website said that it wasn't very likely. But it's still up there, and that's reason to worry. >_< ...if all else fails, when the drill sargent or whatever starts yelling at me, I'll just drop to the ground and cry like crazy. And keep doing it. Eventually they'll get sick of me and send me back home/ back to college.

It's not fair to label people or try to put them down personally, but the current administration has so blatantly lied to the people in recent history that it's hard to take anything they say at face value. Colin Powell is really the only person in the administration I feel is trustworthy, and you know he'll be gone, assuming Bush/Cheney win the 2004 election because no one else could possibly protect the American people and if someone else, anyone else is in charge we'll all die immediately.
Guess it's gonna be tought in 2008, huh? Unless they abolish that pesky little amendment to the Constitution restricting terms of office...

Of course it's not fair to label people, that's why I try not to do it, but most level-headed people can't fight death or liberals because they don't play fair, they take it personally, and (especially with death) its not so much the physical thing, but the idea, you can't fight an idea that has no foundation and/or the person won't level with you.
P.S. you can call me if it comes to name calling Hannity Junior, but I would take it as a compliment.

Whoaaa, I didn't think this thread would get so much response. I haven't read it in a long time but anyway, I recently found out that the draft bill was voted down. The senator who suggested it even voted against it. He only put it forward because he wanted to show everyone that the government is not trying to reinstate the draft. on Sep 27th, 2004, 8:12pm, Feldinaut wrote: If you were referring to my post, I didn't mean for you to be included in that. Actually, what I really meant was the "EVIL BILL!! MUST STOP EVIL BUSH!" option in the poll. Sorry about the confusion. To clear up any confusion, I simply put down what I thought other people might think, I left it open to speculation. But if you are determined to think the poll is designed to be Bush bashing, go ahead, but that wasn't my intent. Additionally, for people who REALLY want to argue without being worried about hurting people's feelings or getting out of hand just visit: www.livejournal.com/community/argue_the_world/I've already advertised it in my art thread, I think, it's my livejournal community I started so people can argue relentlessly without fears of if they get out of hand. The only real big concern is keeping your language pg 13 but feel free to annoy people as much as you want!
