Oh, looks like Protodude leaked some information about the existence of new leaked information from The Shadow. To those not in the know, The Shadow's allegedly a Capcom employee who tells Protodude secrets. I'd imagine he's like the gaming version of Deep Throat. His last big leak was Legends 3, actually. Where did this surface? In a thread about Special Weapon swapping on CU. Go figure.

Leaked leaks huh? Well Pike is my favorite fish so I'm tuned in. Maybe leaked Devroom projects? That'd be no fun.

Either way, this is an exciting prospect. My hope is that he will inform us on any future Events that may be in store for the Devroomies, and possibly info on some secret features. It'll be an interesting romp, I guess.

I'm about as excited to hear what's coming up as I am about being able to say I just leaked a leak on a leak.

This is exciting news. ... actually this isn't even news. But it's still exciting.
... actually, is it even exciting? We knew there'd be news; most of us were excited about it already. I know I was. I don't know if I'm any more excited by it now knowing that one person in addition to the good people at Capcom knows just what that news is going to be. But I guess Protodude confirms that it is in fact exciting news, and that makes it more exciting.
... Maybe I'm thinking about this too much. I wonder why Protodude has to hold off on leaking the leak. Either way, I'm jealous of him right now. Luuuucky.
Ah well. Shouldn't be long before we know..

I'm not excited. Disappointed actually. I thought I might have mentioned it before, but I don't like leaks, and I really wish Capcom would weed out the Shadow and fire his or her ass already. Thing is, Capcom plans out how to release information in pretty entertaining, hype-tastic ways. I like surprises, and Capcom is good at delivering the surprises. When some leaker has to jump in and spoil the surprise, I feel cheated. I'm not so starved for information that I can't wait an extra few days to have it delivered as intended. When the leaks come along though, it's pretty much impossible to avoid them without avoiding the internet entirely.
I know more fans than me are extra-pumped for getting their information as soon as friggin' possible though, so I'm probably alone in this. Still, I won't shed any tears if/when leaks stop entirely. Like that could ever happen though. If it's not the Shadow, it's some other prick.

I agree, I don't really like leaks like this, plus if he leaks future projects some people who hear about it will have an unfair time advantage.

I'm just glad this pertains to Legends 3. After numerous Marvel Vs Capcom 3 leaks, I'm ready to start hearing more about Legends 3.
I'd also just like to know when we'll see our first beta screenshot or another video like the one Inafune showed at Comic-Con.
Once some real media gets out, that's when it will really hit me that Legends 3 is actually a reality.

I too disagree about leaks. It's pretty bad when you actually give away information that has not yet become public. Not sure how it work in the game industry, but in most software companies, you sign a contract of non-disclose for any company information that is not public. They trusted you enough to give you a chance and hire you. It's just wrong to spit at that trust by leaking info. Sure, it would be a different story if that info revealed that the company is doing illegal or wrong, but for release info? For me, leakers doesn't deserve their job if they are not proud enough of it that they willingly leak info. I'm fine waiting for the official announcements.
Also, I will be angry if that Shadow ends up leaking the game itself when the time comes. That's unforgivable.

While I generally agree with you about leaks, I think so far the Shadow's leaks for Legends 3 have been relatively harmless. I don't think the Shadow's actually leaked any big details yet. And whatever this new leak is, Protodude's got to wait a while to release it? Call me crazy, but these leaks seem to be pretty calculated; I honestly wouldn't be surprised if Capcom themselves were behind them all along. And either way, it sure seems “pretty entertaining [and] hype-tastic” to me. But I guess we'll just have to see what comes of this leak. Until then I don't think I'm either excited or disappointed yet.
I do agree with you though, and I hope these Shadow leaks don't have any negative impact in the long run.

Personally, I like the presentation of the Shadow's above all else--the whole thing feels like a show, or a virtual Watergate spoof. He and Protodude have a really nice show going. If he did leak the entire plot, that would suck big time, but from what I've heard about him in the past, he's never really done anything that big. Everyone knows leaks travel quickly on the Internet.

Hey guys, thought I'd drop by.
Yes, we've got something else brewing... but it's something that has to wait a while as means to, you guessed it, not spoil some things that Capcom has planned.
The Devroom is following a schedule of releasing little bits of info at a time, and I've been advised to share The Shadow's new stuff AFTER a few things become "official." This could be a couple months down the line.
Anywho, the new info is pretty neat but I wouldn't call it earth shattering or a megaton. I'd classify some of it as a "Wow, cool!" type of reaction.

Hi again, Protodude. Awesome of you to pop in again to clarify things. I think that's a classy move planning to release this information based around the Devroom's schedule. Can't wait to see what you've got to share with us... after we see what we've got to expect from the Devroom. Nice.. Now I'm excited. I think. If this is how the leaks are being handled, it doesn't bother me one bit.

Well, if you guys respect the Dev team schedule to a certain degree, I guess I can let it slide for now... but I'm keeping my eyes on you!
