I figured it would be best to switch my attention back here, and not get sidetracked over at CU. But yes, knowing that we want to see the old pirates Bola and Klaymoore return, not to mention our good prick Glyde, this is my scenario in the works--
Bola and Klaymoore have finally decided to settle on Stark Island, and are now able to use their life savings to settle down and enjoy the scenery--this is before Glyde arrives. With the collapse of Lex Loath's fraudulent financial empire, Glyde has decided to return to classic pirating, and decides to play a little game with Bola and Klaymoore, the oldest and most vulnerable of the major pirates. Glyde arrives with his flagship in Gold City and, in the middle of the night, raids and successfully pilfers both Bola and Klaymoore's bank accounts, which the two find out in the morning. And to top it all off, Glyde plans to use the money to expand his fleet further, as any potentially-power-hungry pirate should. Thankfully, the Casketts have also arrived at the island, looking for some story-related item, while Bola and Klaymoore don their armor for one last mission--to get their zenny back.
This thread shall be for general discussion of the most tasteful way to deal with these three, all of whom had fairly major roles in Legends 2. Bola and Klaymoore are technically retiring from the physically-intensive pirating business, and we don't quite know what happened to Glyde--okay, we just don't know.

Would Glyde really be the type of person to backstab his allies though? (It seems more like a Bonne move, with the whole "Releasing Glyde's Car!" thing they did.) Although technically, the alliance, or rather, the "Unified Front" (as Klaymoor put is) is probably long over, ever since Bola and Klaymoor skipped out on that Calinca Train fight. What if Glyde robbed the bank that Bola and Klaymoor kept their savings in, without knowing that they held an account there? Glyde would've spent it all quite liberally and quickly, so there wouldn't really be a chance for Glyde to repay Bola/Klaymoor for unintentionally stealing their money. Also, what's a good way that we could somehow tie in a possible boss battle with Megaman vs Bola/Klaymoor? Your scenario seems more along the lines of a possible alliance between Megaman and our veteran mercenaries.

There would probably have to be some form of identification on the account so that Bola and Klaymoore would also know it is theirs, so that's taken into account. As for backstabbing, yes, Glyde would totally do that--the alliance was less out of camaraderie and more focused on getting the Mother Lode. For a boss encounter, that can go two ways: either Bola and Klaymoore both feel the old adventuring vibe returning, and want to test their skills one more time before retirement (this is after Glyde is dealt with), or you can go to their island and duel either at any time. I'm sure Bola would do it, and maybe Klaymoore.

Well, if you look at the second game, after the second fight with Bola, it seems that he likes to coach Megaman on fighting strategies and stuff. "Remember to develop your skills, because your speed...won't last forever." So maybe Bola would like to coach Megaman in a little duel after the whole stealing affair with Glyde is all over. Just to see if Megaman's ready for the challenges ahead and all that jazz. Klaymoor's probably itchin' for some payback as well, just to sort of settle the "draw" that they had after the Nino Island ruin. I'm sure he's the type that doesn't like to leave draws and unfinished battles to go unfinished.

Seems like a reasonable way for that to work. It'd be funny to see what sort of estate Bola has, if he has as much money as he claims to.

Despite him claiming to be an old man, he really doesn't strike me as "old" at all... Although, it'd be neat if his pad was some sort of Ninja-esque training dojo, like Koga's gym from the Pokemon anime series, it could even have some traps installed in it while you run through it, trying to make your way to Bola.

I'm thinking that he may just be a Bohemian traveler of sorts, conserving his money for luxuries aboard a great airship, and you'd be able to find him and Klaymoore docked at the Sulphur Bottom. You'd have to go to a different island to duel either, but you get my drift.
And by old man, he probably means relatively old.

Sooo...he's basically a rich drifter? Who spends his money boarding at the finest hotels? Hm, I was hoping his pad/home would've given some clue as to what his past might've been like, but oh well. Where is everybody? I know you're all out there!

I want to see them in their prime, in some kind of flashback. Same with Gramps, #20 found a picture of him looking slightly younger, with some girl. There, right there. It'd be cool to see younger Bola and Klaymoor somehow too!

He could always outfit his craft in the vein of his vernacular--if you get my drift.
And ditto on the flashback sequences, Dashe. More development of this fine gent, and Klaymoore too.

Remember, pirates and diggers alike wear very powerful armor to avoid injury as much as possible. His armor is detachable as well, just like Megaman's is. I think that Bola looks more the ninja type, while Klaymoor's armor makes me think of a samurai. Perhaps they open a dojo together and teach different fighting styles together?

i guess, but you wouldn't recognise him outside of that armor

You wouldn't recognize a lot of the old characters in their younger forms either. That's kinda the point in wanting to see them that way.
Though one could picture younger BB Brothers still wearing armor, just different sets of armor that they wore when they were younger.
