More blogs from Capcom Unity that aren't really saying much of anything, but promising more in the future. Today we get to meet Kinako Ikawa, who apparently worked on Rockman OSS. I guess this makes the Legends 3 dev-team a bit less faceless, especially now in the wake of Inafune's departure. There isn't much new information, but it teases about the upcoming changes to the US and Japanese devroom, and mentions a new event to follow the Heroine poll. (but no details yet) I guess we'll get the final version of the winning Heroine design soon too. (Did I hallucinate them saying we'd be seeing designs of the existing cast one of these days?) Also, more teases about rocketships making me think more that it's not a metaphorical rocketship. But that's just me. And hey, on the plus side, maybe these changes to the devroom will make it all the more clear. These lines sounded nifty.Sounds like they're gonna be having some fun over there. (phun, sure...) I want a Servbot number... xD (and wallpapers — it's about time!) And yeah... there's more like that. Worth a quick read, but not much else. Maybe something bigger will come of it soon. (Does this deserve its own topic? I dunno, but there you are)

I guess I was wrong when I said the US site wouldn't need any revamping since it already had a message board, which was the only thing the Japanese site was lacking, but I'm still not sure exactly how their "social network" will do anything the existing forum doesn't. But this is coming from a guy that never signed up for Facebook or Myspace or anything like that because I always figured boards like MMLS served that purpose for me.
The Servbot number thing does sound intriguing. That sounds like something they could easily implement into the game. Certain user profiles selected to determine the personality of one of the new Servbots?
If it does turn out to be more interesting than the existing Unity MML3 board, I may actually sign up for this one.

Man, social network? I hope this has nothing to do with Facebook. >_<

Oh man, I had forgotten about the DevRoom! I gotta hang around there more often, I can't let the ideas that I don't like go by uncriticized or the good ones unnoticed...

I'm really excited about the Servbot number. I hope this "reboot" of the devroom helps me be more active here and there. I'm terrible at message boards since, if I'm not posting too much then I'm posting too little.
This Kinako lady seems really into it(which is awesome), but I'm confused about whether or not she's the Japanese liaison that they said they were going to hire(one for Japan and one for the West) to directly interact with the crowd. If that's the case we probably wont see much of her once they hire the English version and I hope they're as excited as she is.

Man, what isn't connected to Facebook these days? (I think Proboards may be connected one of these days. >_>) I just hope I'm not excluded from anything for not having one. I'm confused about whether or not she's the Japanese liaison that they said they were going to hire(one for Japan and one for the West) to directly interact with the crowd. I don't think so, no. She says she worked on Rockman EXE Operate Shooting Star. I'm preeetty sure she's an actual experienced Capcom employee/etc.

What I don't want is a bunch of random Legends (Dashe-fanboy) people from Youtube or Unity trying to facebook stalk me. Proboards does let you connect to facebook now, and I opted against it, but I really hope it doesn't sneak up on me one of these days, like that time I walked away from the computer and Unity logged me onto its chat while I was away a couple of days ago. >_< I guess I'm just one of those weird people who likes keeping their online and offline lives separate.

Does Proboards already link up to Facebook? The “Social Networks” page is completely broken for me so far. Huh. That's lame. Well you could always make a separate Facebook specifically for linking into Capcom Unity if worse comes to worst. And ignore any and all friend requests from any of your fans. Hopefully.
But of course, hopefully it won't come to that. I don't see any mention of Facebook in the article, so I'm thinking not.

I guess that's what you get for making nice fan-videos.

Le sigh. I'm glad I got that fake last name when I did, then. XD Man, it sucks I had to go and get old...I don't want this to cut too much into work or anything! Devroom is starting to turn into a commitment. Why couldn't we just have a normal game development process...?

I certainly deserve my Servbot number, given how much time I spend being active over there. And if we do get a new site, like the Japanese, it better look dang swish.
Another matter for us at the Devroom, though, is whether the site operators will preserve our current threads and relocate them to the new site. I poured a lot of effort into my threads, and I don't want them to be terminated.

I hope somebody out there understands my request for #24601 and gets a good laugh out of it. I doubt anybody will, though. And if they did give me that number, I will seriously be very, very happy.

Calling #42, by the way. I have an obligation to make references to Douglas Adams at the appropriate time, so don't panic.

I really don't think throwing in the term "social network" means we're going to need external Facebook accounts and give up all our personal information. It really just sounds like another forum localized on the DevRoom site. Remember that for the Japanese side that's pretty novel at this point. They've only been letting the fans interact through blog comments so far. No profiles and no user-generated topics. The DevRoom looks like it will have a different face than the current CoA Unity forum, but the basic idea will most likely be the same. I guess that's what you get for making nice fan-videos. Really, it's what she gets for being a girl on the internet. The video just increased the potential for stalker-bait. When it comes to lonely male geeks (of which Megaman gamers are in no short supply), they don't need much of a reason to get inappropriately clingy. So she has good reason for being protective of her exposure. That's just girls though. The rest of us have nothing to worry about. :P

Yeah, most of the talk of changes to the devroom are probably directed toward the Japanese side of things; afterall, that's the side they're coming from. I don't think we're expecting much change on our end, except a more fleshed out devroom.
@miss Dashe I had to look it up, but that's a nice number indeed. And @general Specific Douglas Adams? That post is full of win. ^__^ Now there's a cool frood who really knows where his towel is.
