Because we all know MML1,MML2 and TMOTB had a wonderful English cast, we've got to ban together to track down these guys for MML3! Ask them if they're involved; send their contact info to Capcom; whatever!
Can you imagine MML3 without Rob Smith or Caroly Larson? It's inconceivable.

I actually could. Especially if they got their Teisel from Broadway. I've heard a couple of guys who can do the same vocal gymnastics as Smith did, including this guy (who died three years ago, but to this day I still picture Teisel doing the singing here). I'm not sure who plays Tron in MvC3, but she was pretty good. Again, excuse my musical nerdiness, but having a new cast to compare with the old one is seriously up my alley. New performances to appreciate, new performances to critique...I'm practically drooling at the prospect. It could swing either way. If we got the entire old cast back, it might turn out great, or it might turn out like the RENT movie. *Shudders* I do wish they'd bring Rob Smith back though. And George Masswohl, but I admittedly have a soft spot for him since fab managed to interview him, and since he's played Sweeney Todd in a Sondheim tribute show in (I think) Vancouver pretty recently.

Rockv, there are too many Rob Smiths on IMDB to pinpoint the real deal...though that wasn't the Rob Smith credited on IMDB as Teisel, it's a really common name. It crossed my mind, but on the other hand, IMDB's not solid evidence. Then again, you'd think a guy who kept up a blog until he died would have corrected a miscredit on his own IMDB.
I second the motion for Aarond as Teisel. Especially if he learns to sing.

I'd rather prefer it if they hired all the old cast again.
It'd be exactly like meeting old friends again, who haven't changed in the slightest, and it'd really add to the warm feeling of nostalgia that I'm hoping to get for this game.
After all, in my opinion, these characters are as real as the imagination can make them. Because of this, I want them to stay as true to their personalities as possible, and sticking with the original voice crew (who also might feel more of a connection towards the roles they play, as opposed to a newer person who doesn't have any previous attachment to their character) would be one of the most effective ways to assure this.
Not to mention, I wouldn't want to make a gamble of voice actors that I'm not too sure of.
A similar situation I can recall would be with the creation of Toy Story 3 (which I really loved, me and Andy are practically the same, and it came the movie came out one day before my birthday!)...with the majority of the voice crew returning, it really felt so natural and so...right.
The same can probably be said of Legends.

As long as Tiesel, Tron, Roll and Barrel remain the same I'll be happy. I'm looking forward to a non-pokeman style megaman voice.
Fun fact: all the voice actors from from the original Legends were Canadian!

Hmm me: I liked Tron's voice but i dunno, I'd like a new voice for her for some reason. I also think Barrel coulda used a different voice.
Roll was A-okay in my book and Susan Roman (aka Sailor Jupiter) needs to give Trigger to a guy but she's one of my fave vocalists so I'd like it if she took on a female role in MML3.

Wow I really need to know the status on Smith...I'll go into more research on him. I've been trying to look this up as well. I called Ocean Productions earlier, and while the woman I spoke with did confirm they worked on the Legends games, she couldn't find a record of a Rob Smith working for them. I suppose I could have pressed harder, but I didn't want to be a hassle either.

Hmmmm...if they don't have his records on file, and Ocean Productions is a voiceover studio, that could indicate that our Rob Smith probably hasn't done voiceover work since sometime around Mega Man Legends 2.

The only other thing I know he's done for sure is work on a cartoon called Angela Anaconda. I had to call Ocean twice, because the woman I spoke to needed time to talk to someone who'd been at the company longer than she. Moreover, she originally thought I meant a man named Rob Smart. So in the end, she may have not gotten the info she needed.
The only other possibility is that Rob Smith was not employed with Ocean, and somehow got on the job through other means (though I can't begin to explain how that would happen). After NYCC clears up, I'm going to do some more digging around at Capcom.

I think they ditched corey because his voice changed. He hit puberty and sounded too manly to be megaman. I just hope the don't ruin it in mml3.
If they want to do it right, they should use Milhouse's voice from the simpsons.
