INTRODUCTION
Time for TLT's 5th community Event! As you can see, this time we want you all to design new and memorable reaverbots to act as the bosses for some of our sub-gates! Capcom's reaverbot event had a great turn out with loads of interesting entries. We hope to see people sending that same enthusiasm our way to help give the Quint Islands a truly unforgettable set of reaverbosses! Incidentally, if you entered Capcom's event and your design fits with our criteria, don't hesitate to reuse it here. GUIDELINES
* Your design should look intimidating and keep in style with existing Legends reaverbots. These pages can be used for design reference and inspiration: MML1, MML2, MOTB* Size should range somewhere between a Hanmuru Doll and a Wojigairon. * We highly encourage "neutral" designs, reaverbots we can place in any sub-gate we feel suitable. As such, we recommend avoiding concepts that limit your entry's usability, such as an "icicle reaverbot for Buscan Island" etc. * In additon to visual or written descriptions of your design, you may optionally include ideas for your reaverbot's attacks, battle progression, and so on. If so, please keep the word count under 200. * Keep in mind for both design and battle ideas that the reaverbot must be able to be defeated by close range combat (Tuttle's cane). Tuttle will of course have special weapons, but they are not a requirement to proceed in the game. * You may work solo or with a partner on your design(s) and may submit or participate in up to three designs. This Event will be open to submissions from November 1st through December 10th, 2012.All entries should be posted here in this thread. We want them all in one place so entries sent to us by email, PM, or in comments directly on the TLT site will not be considered. Guest posting is enabled for the duration of this Event. Note: We are also now accepting Japanese language entries through a submission form on the main site.WINNERS
* We'll be looking for two (2) winning entries from this Event. * The winners will get their names in the credits and the satisfaction of seeing their design concepts come to life in the game. As for actual "prizes," see here. * Designs will be judged by the project leaders, fAB & Blyka, based on a number of criteria including but not limited to: overall visual appeal, consistency with existing reaverbot styles, and adherence to guidelines. * Winning entries may be subject to revisions before appearing in-game. Give it your all and best of luck, everyone!

Reaverbots aren't exactly my cup of cherry coke, but I bet everyone else in the fandom's going to be pumped for this event.

This is Orunitan. this Reaverbot is a little under 1.5x the size of Hanmaru Doll and despite it is semi fast. Movement: He floats around. Gimmick: he has 4 heads with 3 eyes each , two of which are used as part of his 'arms'. his 'arms can retract into his body. Standard Attack 1: As he gravitates straight towards the player he will flail his arms around. Standard Attack 2: When the player is at his side, he stops for a moment and flings his arms at the player like an accordion this will cause a slight pause before he retracts his arm.. Speacial Attack: Orunitan will move to the center of the stage and preform a spin until arms are fully retracted. When he chooses to spin his body, his arms are outstretched as an attack, and spins to bring the player closer. When he spins, he spins fast and wildly in mid air. This pulls both the player and his own arms in... as his arms are nearly retracted completely the spin slows enough for the player to realize which side of his body he is on. When his arms become fully retracted he will then fling his arms outwards; if you are on that side you will be stuck by his arms. Tuttle can attack his heads after the accordion attack during the pause, or can attack his body if he dares to get close! its safer to just attack after the accordion strike. Special Notes: I image the stage to have pillars that can stop the accordion spring attack and if orunitan's head hits a pillar the pause time associated is increased. also, tuttle can hide behind these pillars to prevent being pulled in by his special attack. I also prefer the blue design.

*needs some remodeling ill leave up to FaB and Blyka if he wins, i expect this design to be mostly the 'skeleton' of the final design.* This is Jantenks. this Reaverbot is slightly larger than Garudoritan. This Reaverbot walks 'backwards' towards his enemy. one attack is Jantenks literally flipping his entire body over to slam those infront of him with his tail, another being Jantenks lifting himself high up on his legs and flailing his tail back and forth (like a pendulum). despite having large powerful 'legs', he does not use them to attack because this is where his balance is held. Jantenks is invulnarable. To defeat Jantenks you must hurt his legs until he falls over, then run to each Jantun. You must then destroy every Jantun to remove the invulnarablitity an paralyze Jantenks legs making him lay on his belly like a snake, in which then he can only flail around and swings his tail wildly or use it like a scorpions tail. Jantun is an equivalent to Orudakoitans relation to Arukoitan, but greater. Jantun makes Jantenks invulnerable on top of allowing him to move freely. Note by fAB: Double posting is fine in this particular scenario. In fact, even if submitting multiple entries at the same time I would actually encourage breaking them into individual posts.

I'd like to introduce the Sabel draggeclo46.deviantart.com/gallery/37662931#/d38gt6vThis reaverbot doesn't show up in too many places but diggers are wary when they do come across one. It's as big as a Hanmaru Doll but it's deadlier. It can be avoided altogether by walking past it, but if you make too much noise, it'll pick up on you and rush toward you to attack with its blades. One can tell when it's getting low on health when it reverts to its flamethrowers hidden between the blades. draggeclo46.deviantart.com/gallery/37662931#/d38gtvtIt's joints are set up so that way it can easily change direction. It has two "eyes" one on each side of its head allowing it to keep an eye out for diggers. The Sabel is a reaverbot not taken lightly. However with the right technique, it can be taken down quickly.

Edit: Anything in bold text has been adapted to better suit Tuttles play style, rather than Triggers. Here's a design I made a while ago, called 'Denchii': The Dencchii is a large Reaverbot, roughly 4-5 metres tall. It consists of a large body segment, and 3 satellites that rotate around its' body. It's attacks all have to do with electricity in some way or another, and almost consistently has a protective shield around its' body. The Dencchiis' attack pattern mainly consists of two attacks. One; it can spread the sattellites apart, to different sides of the room, creating "trip-wires" between the shield and body, and two; the sattellites spin fast around its' body, and the Dencchii unrelentlessly chases after the player, Rimblemenji style (http://legends-station.com/?page=mml2/rvr-rimblemenji). At first, when the satellites are extended around the room, the external satellites remain stationary, and the body wont move very far or fast, making it easy to jump over the laser trip-wires. Once some of the Dencchiis' health is depleted, the satellites will slowly roate, and the body will have a larger radius of movement, and move faster. One the Dencchii is nearly defeated, the sattelites will rotate fast and move closer and further from the body, and the body will swifty move throughout a large movement radius. Edit: Also, if the player hits a trip-wire, they will undergo an electric ailment, making it much easier for the Dencchii to hit the player while using its' other attack. So, if the Dencchii always has a protective shield around it, how do you defeat it? Well, when the Dencchii spreads its' external satellites out, they are no longer under the protection of the shield, making them volnurable. If Tuttle hits a spinning satellite, it and all the other satellites will change the direction they are spinning in. If all the satellites are destroyed, the shield and body are temporarily disabled, giving the player a chance to hit Denchii.Image: www.servimg.com/image_preview.php?i=58&u=16693545

Description: Systcore uses a cloak that resembles Terra. It will fly around the room watching its’ target while using each of the four planetoids to attack. (it is out of range at this time.) When all four of the planetoids have finished the reaverbot will switch to its’ base form and try to smash the intruder with each planetoid creating shockwaves in the process. Systcore proceeds to use itself as a projectile, leaving its’ eye open for attack after impact. After taking damage the reaverbot rises, uses a homing beam from its’ eye, and repeats the attack pattern. The four planetoids can share forms when the cycle changes, but one of them always uses the base form. Planetoid notes Sun’s fire shots require the player to change direction or jump to avoid damage. Pluto shoots directly at the player. The base form’s rings go above the head of the player, quickly lowering and shrinking after touching the floor. Stand still and jump over the shrinking ring.

*needs some remodeling ill leave up to FaB and Blyka if he wins. a physical change i have in mind is the 'horns' on top of his head would be changed to the 'yellow rooster crest' design thang. Posted a second picture as some abstract towards a revision of its design. i was semi-basing its newer design off of a D&D Beholder, i figured the eyes were too cluttered in the original design* This is Qiholbe. He is exactly the size of Hanmaru Doll. he lurks around in the darkness and moves around very slowly. He has two abilities: Eye Lazers** and Fearful Illusion Eye Lazer can generate 4 different effects that make the lazer a different colour for the player to recognize which ability is targeting them; This should have a small charge time. Purple: Target is 'frightened' (This will make tuttle run around uncontrollably for a short period of time away from Qiholbe) Cold: Target is slowed down Yellow: Target get the electric ailment (so slow but not as drastic with continous shock damage). Red: Target is englufled in flames (Continious Damage). Fearful illusion is Qiholbe secondary form of movement which is drastically faster. Qiholbe immediatly creates two more of himself somewhere in the near vicinity. He either remains in the same spot or take the place of one of the illusions, temporarily. if Tuttle strikes an illusion he gets the 'frightened' ailment. if tuttle does not strike any Qiholbe the illusions explode after some time and deal major damage. If the correct Qiholbe is struck the illusions disappear.

I'm submitting these two as one basic Reaverbot, but in two flavors... Sort of like Red and Green Horokko...
"The Pocket Digger", excerpt: 'No ifs ands or bots'
Kirikan A large, cylindrical 4 legged reaverbot that dwarfs even Hanmuru Doll. Two red eyes can be seen on the body's sides. Strangely, these eyes never seem to point at the digger, always pointed perpendicular to him/her...it's sight is no worse for this fact however, and shouldn't be underestimated It's attacks aren't far removed from Horokko, tackling and occasionally grasping at diggers. It is possible that it has bombs as well, though this has not been observed... Mainly due to diggers running in fear of it... or simply not returning to tell the tale. While it's attacks are nothing special, its size makes up for it in spades. Due to this great size, however, it can be a bit sluggish. It does not appear to have any sort of heavy armor, so normal tactics should be able to bring it down... but you would have to be a braver digger than this author!
It seems to be an aquatic relative of the Dorakuni.
Dorakuni Like the Kirikan, this is a massive sized reaverbot with four appendages. Its body is spherical with the unmistakeable red eye appearing on top. This reaverbot does not appear to have grasping abilities, but it may try to pin a digger underfoot for a moment while it prepares its weapon. Its weapon is a sticky substance not unlike a glue of sorts. Diggers trapped in this substance may find it more difficult to move. Fortunately this weapon must be prepared before use, so not getting caught will ensure you are not 'caught in the web' as well. Unlike its cousin Kirikan, this reaver appears to be more nimble, though still not what one would call speedy. It has been known to rush diggers when they get too far away, and this can be dangerous.
(Kirikan Theme: Kraken/Squid Cylinder body, 4 long tentacle legs with large paddles on each segment. looks like an X when seen from above with legs straight. it can swim, throw bombs, and has an oil slick it can deploy)
(Dorakuni Theme: Spider/Mite Sphere body, 4 tube legs, like Mirumijee from MML1, can hide in cylindrical holes in the wall while dormant, awaiting activation.)
I may add pics later.

The body is an invulnerable dummy and the actual target is the sword itself. The dummy walks around with the sword up, keeping it away from harm. In order to defeat it, Tuttle must dodge its wild swings and attack the sword directly while immobile. I hope that's not too complex or anything. Nope! I personally think that it's pretty innovative. I also gotta' give the design major props, Eris. All those nicks in the blade, the degraded metal. It's those extra little bits that make it such a wonderful design. Heck, even the little demonstration of Tuttle attacking it is equally as awesome.

My 1st entry: Topporouletto This reaverbot is a cross between a roulette and a top. His size is a bit taller than rush mammoo. The Colors in the screen(s) on the top segment change colors like a roulette, once it settles on a collor, it opens up the middle, showing a core, with the collor of the screen. When the middle is closed, the reaver will walk towards you and sometimes jump at you. Each color represents an attack that the core will do. Red: the core will shoot a red shot that will move in a direction, stop, then go to your current position. Green: The core shoot a green shot that will constantly follow you and eventually explode. Yellow: He will kneel over for a moment in your direction, the core will start to charge, and shoot a yellow laser. Blue: He will start to charge for a bit, then form a shield, in which upon getting caught, you will get damaged and sent flying. Desperation: Purple: Once he has less than half health, there will be a new color, purple, if this color is selected, then he will balance himself on his eye, start spinning like a top, and shoot from the very top at you. If you touch him while he's spinning you will get damaged.

To elaborate, your name can appear in up to three entries, so if you submit solo that counts as one entry, if you submit with a partner that counts as one entry, and if someone else submits with you listed as their partner that's also one entry.

Been following progress on this fangame along with a friend, and I thought I could collaborate on this and try making something for this contest. Hope you guys like it! imageshack.us/f/547/img021z.jpg/Roa Karana Somewhat smaller than a Wojigairon in its quadrupedal stance, Roa Karana clambers monkey-like on the ceiling in its chamber, dropping down on any foolish explorer who dares enter it, hollering all the way like the unholy cross of an ape and an engine that can't quite start imageshack.us/photo/my-images/222/img022mp.jpg/Roa has different attack patterns depending on whether it is on the ground or back in the ceiling -----If Roa Karana stays on the ground ---- 1 - Roa swings his arms at the player one at a time, each having a wide range. May or may not move forward while he does this 2 - Roa leaps at he player to pound and trample with its arms, causing harmful shockwaves when they hit the floor. May do this more than once 3- Roa stands in place and spins his torso like helicopter blades, arms outstretched. The resulting spin attack gravitates up and down, giving you chances to avoid it At the end of any of these attacks, Roa Karana will stop and "stand up", as if trying to rest or focus. This is where Roa is at its most vulnerable, as it will leave exposed its one weakspot: the cilinder-like midsection. You must run towards Roa and hit away during this brief moment. However, after a number of hits Roa Karana will become "enraged", roaring, hopping in place and flailing its arms. You have to get away from him when it starts, because this tantrum will hurt you --- If Roa Karana climbs back up --- 1- Clinging to the ceiling with its feet, Roa Karana will use its arms to attack, bringing them down to "stamp" the player. May either come down at random areas, or follow the player's movement. In both cases, a shadow should let the player know when they're going to come down 2- Clinging with his arms, Roa Karana swings down from one end of the room to another, trying to hit the player with its body. After the fourth or fift swing, Roa will bellow and drop down on the player. The growing shadow will indicate you to move out of the way. Once it hits the floor, it will take a while for the Reaverbot to resume the attack, so take the chance and strike its weakpoint 3- Instead of swinging, Roa hangs from the ceiling and hollers at the player, bobbing up and down. He won't actually attack in this one; more of a taunt to catch the player off-guard Unlike Wojigairon, Roa Karana is fast and flexible despite its bulk, and will constantly dodge and jump throughout the fight, so players arent' advised to get confident
