It's actually going to be taken down on August 19th, as per Word of Greg. So you're about two days off. From what I can tell in the Western devroom, #20 at TRRL is trying to get the major stuff. The main DASH3 site has mostly been archived, I think. But then again, I am not exactly the brightest when it comes to either tech-talk OR Japanese.

What I am concerned most about is getting the English rocket pages, because those are linked to the Japanese host site instead of the western Devroom. If someone smart could get those, then we'd be in good shape as far as the English stuff goes. CU's staff said that they weren't shutting that Devroom down anytime soon, though laziness probably factors into that decision a bit.

Multiupload hosts a particular uploaded file on 6-7 different hosts. Thus, more small parts + more hosts = more concurrent downloads for someone with a beefy connection that might otherwise max out a single host (keep in mind, some hosts max out at <100KiB/sec and only allows one file at a time, meaning the majority of my connection would go to waste). It also means if any single part is corrupt, you only need redownload that particular part. I probably should've uploaded an SFV to aide this.


Either way, I think they're idiots for doing this. How much does 150MiB in storage space cost for a big company like Capcom? Besides, of this amount, 140MiB of it is images that aren't even hosted on the devroom, so they'd only be saving 10MiB (think: roughly 7 floppy disks, or one-70th of a CD-R) at most by deleting this. There's absolutely no benefit or purpose at all 'cept to explicitly erase all the work everyone's done.
So, this is what this archive is for; a stop-gap measure to collectively use up trivial amounts of space on something important because a big company refuses to.

A note to everyone: If you can spare the space, please download and save a copy of these 11 files and keep them somewhere safe. The point of this exercise is to make sure these files aren't lost, and the best way to do this is to get them into the hands of as many people as possible; even if you aren't technically inclined or interested in them, your future comrades may be. These links won't last forever, and may only be good for a few months before expiring.

EDIT: I've manually ripped some more content and put it in a 'supplemental' package. It contains the 2 3D models and textures, artwork from the Heroine Design Competition, some various audio files from one of the blog posts, and the Servbot Phone Wallpapers (incl. my FS and WS mod for them). I've also noticed that main.html - the aptly-named main gateway for the wallpaper and icon downloads - is completely gone already. Any links to those sites - for the wallpapers, for instance - are no longer valid. That means that 4 wallpapers on MML3 no longer work, because fAB wasn't linking to local copies. Anyone who has missing content from this front should step forward and make it available.
EDIT 2: fAB did have the foresight to host copies of those wallpapers, but didn't link to his copies. They are accessable on the server by taking advantage of the logical naming scheme. So those are covered.

Okay, done. English Rocket pages included in v2 of the supplemental archive. Also includes English versions of the 2 reaverbot wallpapers (I discovered the Japanese ones buried away in the main site rip).

As cute as the SD Teisel is, I don't understand its relevance...

I keep trying to download it but it keeps trying to open with Acrobat and won't save on my downloads list.

The only file that's downloading properly for me is the supplemental stuff. Are the links expired already?

What's the difference between versions again?
