Overview
Time for the first installment in my 'Rate that Reaver' series! This review is about Miitan, a Reaverbot that really values it's personal space. Miitan are found mainly in Nino Ruins, although you can pretty much find a couple of em' lurking in most of the minor ruins throughout the game, as well as Saul Kada. Given their attack pattern, they seem to be an upgraded Foo-Roo from Kattelox. Those little guys needed a better design; they were quite boring.
These little guys are spotted by their blue and purple color scheme, along with a rather sad expression on their faces. They tend to float in place until either a digger lurks too close, or if they are provoked. Once they spot their prey, they slowly float towards you, and their eyes glow red. When they get within close range, they glow red and proceed to release a massive explosion which does some heavy damage. They also explode when they are destroyed, although the explosion doesn't hurt nearly as much. Also not that their self destruct mechanism makes it so that they don't drop any zenny either (jerks).
Dealing With It
These little guys are best dealt with from a distance, especially when there are multiple ones lurking about. They only take a few buster shots to kill, so the trick is to knock them out before they get too close. Once these guys overcrowd you, nothing short of a well-timed dodge-roll is going to save you. The self-destruct technique will in fact cripple your lifebar, so you really want to tread carefully around these guys.
I should also mention how fun it is to chuck enemies at Miitan with the Lifter. Anything thrown at it is an instant kill, so this makes for a nice time-saver when taking the license test (hint-hint). Also, they drop a pretty nice amount of zenny when KO'ed.
Coming In For A Landing
Miitan was a really nice improvement over the boring Foo-Roo from MML1. They tend to be pretty recognizable, and will often catch a digger by surprise the first time they run into this thing; it's appearance is quite deceptive. I give Miitan a 9/10. MML2's reaverbot designs were pretty creative, and this one was no exception.

You should first finish the boss series. Link phail on the Foo-roo reference.
I remember i stormed through a room and didn't notice these little guys, then suddenly i saw myself being targeted by 7-10 of them and couldn't avoid the explosion in time. I survived, but with two little squares of health.

You should first finish the boss series. Link phail on the Foo-roo reference. Fix'd. Honestly, I thought about doing all of the bosses first, but simply decided to run them concurrently. Reavers are a lot quicker to do than bosses, so I can do these more leisurely, while the bosses can be done when I have larger chunks of time to work with.

I hated the little guys. They're not bad but I don't really care for them. I give it a 5/10 for being big pains.

Duh Nuh Nuh Nuh, Crack That Whip! That's what came to mind first when I saw the title. Those little guys can be a pain, but they just never are a bother enough to get lower than a 7/10 Great Job as usual Buster Cannon!

There's this one that always used to get me during the Digger's license exam. I'll just be jumping off the ledge and BOOM. Waiting for Megaman to get back up while the seconds tick by at the top of the screen was simply infuriating. They get a 6/10 from me. Why? Bats! That's why...

I thought these little guys were pretty cool, and they could succeed in surprising you a lot of the time. At the very least, seeing those beady red eyes made you want to destroy them as soon as possible, lest you get blasted onto your back. 9/10 for me, as well.

That's why I call them "Bang Babies." The damage of the inner core pretty much leaves un-upgraded Megaman mortally wounded. I also like how they look, scary in a cool way, they'd be the last reaverbot I'd want to meet in a dark, long hallway especially if their eyes start to glow red.
9/10 for cool design, killer attack, relentless pursuing (they'll follow you persistently in a room) of Megaman and the creepiness factor. A secondary attack and higher durability would be good, but that's pushing it.

I didn't like these things that much... I thought the design was boring(although slightly creepy), and they weren't that tough, just annoying. The only joy I really had with these things were throwing Gorubeshu and Kuruguru at it during the S liscense test... 4.5/10

Never liked the designs on this Reaverbot. Too weird and just seemed not fitting to me. Too much of a human body/doll shape? I can't really put my finger on it but I never liked this Reaverbot. They would have been better off keeping the Foo-roo in and making it explode like these guys do. I give this Reaverbot a 1/10 and I want the Foo-roo back with this power.
