---DISCLAIMER---
--I was using the N64 version and I will check out the PC and PSX versions and post my findings.-- I decided to mess around with the Chameleon net after reading about how the Karumuna Bash would follow you around trying to seek you out. Here are my findings for the N64 version: Zakobon: Will continue marching around, will sometimes spin around or come towards you. Mirumijee: Will continue to slink around and 'periscope' until destroyed. Shekuten: Will activate, sit there and fold back up, if attacked they will arm themselves and sometimes walk towards you. Foo-Roo: Will just float in place until destroyed. Mimic: Won't fire any bombs out and sit open. Arukoitan: Will charge and shoot a fireball in your dierection after being knocked down, will then return to idle mode. Sometimes run around then idle. Orudakoitan: No change for obvious reasons Jakko & Nest: Will launch Jakkos continuously, the Jakkos will hover in place and then disperse after a few seconds. Miroc: Will act normally until destroyed. Guruguru: Will stay idle even after being flipped back over. Firushudot: Will stay inside the water, if you activate the net after they jump out they will attack in your direction and then leap back in. Gorubeshu: Will stand up and fire two fireballs at you and then sit back down, the gold ones will keep attacking you. Cannam: Will drop down and jump in place if right next to them, they also sit on the floor until damaged enough then they will leap onto the ceiling march around a bit then go into idle mode. Karubun: Will turn to face you then stop and after being knocked down will circle around a bit and stop. Sharukurusu: Will keep marching unless you knock it down and if you are close enough it will start marching towards you. Large Sharukurusu: will turn towards you if shot in the back, it takes two shots in the front or arm to make it turn towards you, besides that it will keep marching around. Hanmuru Doll: Just goes on a rampage and will attack you. Karumuna Bash: Will stay idle unless attacked then it will jump up and will follow you around. Fun Facts- You can activate the net after being discovered and most reaverbots will go back to being idle. You can walk through Zakobons without receiving damage, the Karumuna Bash will just push you around with no damage and every other reaverbot will damage you.

Thatt's some good research Ave. The most interesting thing to me is that the mimic just stays open. The problem with Chameleon Net is that there are very few place where it's worth using. Especially since it doesn't work on bosses. Say, does it work against the three Karumuna Bashes in the Clozer woods gate? they are techniquely bosses.

Well I thought for about 2.5 seconds that it might work...then they all jumped up and came at me. Usually they jump up as soon as the elevator hits the bottom. This time they we're a bit delayed, so no the net won't work on them.

This was amusing to read.
It appears that the Chameleon Net is not that useful as I thought. but well, if you don't attack most of them will not attack you I guess.
Besides I think I talk for most of us that the Chameleon Net and... what was the other one?... Both of them are a bit useless.

Sheild repair or something? Yeah that's pretty useless too. At least if you are real low on health this one can save you.

There was another one, it makes Megaman nearly invulnerable.
While the Chameleon Net is good for avoiding confrontations, you may as well just fire at them since you're using a long ranged weapon, and you'll even get money or health in the process (unless of course when your mother is hollering at you and you won't put the controller down until you save the game).

The other item was the Defense Shield. Wasn't really that useless, as it prevented all damage from occurring for a rather nice amount of time. You'd still get knocked back and all, but you never lost any health. The only real flaw of it was that you could only have one at a time.

I never used the chameleon net or defense shield, maybe the first time I played it but I didnĀ“t get any real use for them. I fell like I should try playing fire vs fire with the invisible sharukurusus, do you try it already? I guess they just ignore you until the effect is over.

I'm the type of gamer that hoards consumables until the final battle where it no longer matters, so I tend to miss this stuff too. I still like to experience everything in the game at least once, so I end up blowing the Chameleon Net and Defense Shield on Juno at the same time, even though that combination doesn't do anything. I tell myself that I need to try the C.Net in a more normal situation next time, but do I ever remember when the opportunity comes up? Apparently not.

I'm the same way, but you have to remember that the Chameleon Net is cheap and replenishable. Come to think of it, ALL of MML's consumables are replenishable in some way or another. I'm much more stingy with the stuff in MML2 that you can't get back, like the quiz snacks and Fried Chicken. That stuff generally gets hoarded all the way to Sera unless I get stuck in some near-death situation that requires it.

Alas, I never have the spending money for replenishables because I'm also inclined to spend every spare zenny on Extra Packs once I have every other upgrade. Then once I have 99 Extra Packs...then I've clearly played the game way too much and need to stop (I think I only went that far once).

That's a good find, Avegodro. I find it interesting that some Reaverbots would act normal, some would become docile and the Foo-Roo would just float in the air until they get destroyed. I must admit that I didn't have any interest in using the Chameleon, until now.

This may be old news or heck maybe not worth mentioning, but... About Karunuma:
In the Nintendo 64 port, MM64...I got noticed by him but used the Chameleon Net in the Room He appears in in the Main Gate. I DID NOT attack before or after the use of the Net, but instead kept my distance. He actually followed me around, even without being provoked, as if to 'sniff me out' it's an easy way to see He has a Reaver-eye in his throat without risking an attack.
Please Note I did say: MM64, finer details are: it was on a cartridge with N64 expansion module hooked up. And note that I had been noticed before use of net (hew got up to attack but before he could I used net) but I did not attack before or after using net.

Well I finished looking into how reaverbots will act when you use the chameleon net. Both the Playstation and PC versions acted the same, but had some slight differences from the N64 port.
The Shekuten would fully deploy instead of just activate.
The Karumuna Bash will attack if you knock it down and will return to sniffing you out.
The Gorubeshu will attack, whether if you attacked him or activated the net after being seen by it.
Don't forget, the Hanmuru Doll can find you no matter which version of the game your using. So there is no hiding from it. :12:
