I just started playing MegaMan Legends for the first time yesturday on my PS2 and was dismayed to discover that, for some reason, I couldn't save the game data on either memory card. It kept saying "Memory card not found." Other than that, the game worked fine. It doesn't make any sense! The PS2 is backwords compatible. Why would a game be playable, but not saveable?? It might as well not function at all on the PS2!!! Does this mean that something is wrong? Is there a solution? Can anyone help me out?

Are you trying to save to a PS1 memory card? PS1 games aren't compatible with PS2 cards.

LIEK DOOD USE A PSONE DOOD!
In all seriousness, if you have a ps2 chances are that you still have your old psone around, if so, try playing on it. The nostalgia makes it feel all the better.

You can put PS1 data on a PS2 memory card, but it can only be done through the PS2's browser from one card to the other. It's more or less for backup I think, as PS1 game's can't detect PS2 cards. But yeah, the same exact thing happened to me when I bought MML2. I was so pis sed. PS1 cards cost practically nothing. Either cough up some pocket change or steal one.
